6 Week Course

The 6 week beginners throwing course will start with a demonstration of clay preparation and throwing a cylinder shape. You will have your own wheel and workstation throughout the course . After the demonstration Nina will work with you individually at your own pace and development.

With only 6 people on each course you will get the individual attention needed to develop. At your own pace and over the 6 weeks you will learn how to prepare and wedge clay , make shapes and lift the clay into cylinders and bowls, turning your pots when leather hard, decorating with both slips and glazes.

All materials and firings are included in the price. There is a limit of 4lb of fired glazed pieces which covers most people . If this limit is reached further work can be purchased at £5 per lb .
