Daisy

From an original hand-painted tile in the William Morris Gallery Collection
Designed by William MORRIS (1834-1896) for Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Company

Morris's Daisy tile is closely related to his patterns for embroidery and wallpaper of the same name. The tiles were used on their own, or in combination with the Firm's two-tile figure panels, for overmantels and fireplaces.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Nina has won The Tile Association award for Wall Tile of The Year 2005. Influenced by the work of Scottish Architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh Nina designed her tiles using the Tube lining technique. This was developed in the late 19 Century and used extensively during the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts period.
